Lokey Suspect was pushed into open-mic sessions, and consequently into writing, by friends from the age of 16. While doing time (11 months) he had no choice but to write lyrics! Inmates encouraged him and he left prison with a growing confidence in his musical ability. In 2000 he competed at the Grassroots 'Battle of the MC's' and finished runner-up behind a pro MC. He'd tipped Pro-Juice off about the event and Lokey Suspect joined the K-Diff Syndicate shortly after. Lokey Suspect featured on the ttile track of the PRS Unsigned Award CD 'Backstabber'', distributed across Fopp stores in early 2005. In November 2005 he performed his UKGarage track 'Bluster' for Radio 1Xtra's Homegrown Live event. Influences: Bob Marley, UB40, Tupac, Method Man, Red Man, Naz, Jay Z, Notorious B.I.G., Dr Dre, Eminem.
