Growing up on the Llanederyn housing estate in Cardiff, Mark Heenan was listening to the likes of Oasis, Metallica, Blur and the Beatles before joining a country band at the age of 15 - as a drummer. In the late 90s he joined indie-rock band Substance, again on drums, who attracted attention from a well known record company. In 2001/2 a different well known record company showed some interest in his next indie-rock band Fenton, which broke up at a critical moment. A year later, while with Suckerfish, frustration drove him to leave the band in 2004 and step from behind the drums and up to the mic, picking up the guitar in the process.
He was signed by K-Diff records and a 4-track video enahanced CD was produced as his first solo project soon after. He has since recruited a full band and their first 4-track E.P. is available from Disaudio.com.
