K'Diff - Cardiff has its own distinctive accent, harder and more nasal than the softer Welsh accents that surround it. ‘K'Diff’ is close in sound to how Cardiffians actually pronounce the word Cardiff.

In the year 2000 Wayne 'Pro-Juice' Liddell started recruiting wanna-be singers and musicians from the streets of Cardiff and South Wales. He worked with, encouraged, developed and recorded the talent of each individual and has emerged as a formidable producer and composer. It was singers like Sista T, Kalsa Guroove (aka Juggy Singh), Picton, 4Dee, Don Don and Bobby Singh who made up the core of what Wayne called 'The K-Diff Syndicate'.
A year later Bobby Singh was featured as the subject of a BBC Wales documentary. Alan Golding, who was working on the programme, was introduced to Wayne while filming at his 'bedroom' studio. Three months later Alan became the group's manager. From there, things became more focused and the group headed towards the production of its first album length demo 'Cityzenship', which featured 22 singers and musicians.
Rehearsals began with a full band of session musicians for shows at the Compass Point Festival in Cardiff followed by a headline slot at the Concorde 2 in Brighton. During this time the 'Cityzenship' demo was submitted to the PRS Foundation/Fopp Unsigned competition. The K-Diff Syndicate were one of 6 bands in the South East and Wales region to win the award. The group were given three days to record a 3-track demo in a professional studio courtesy of the PRS Foundation. The resulting demo 'Backstabber' was sold through Fopp stores across the country (2005).
Cardiff based Complete Control Music (the label of Community Music Wales) picked up on that success and agreed to press 500 promo albums (produced, composed and recorded in Wayne's bedroom studio). 'K-Diff City Life' became available in August 2005 featuring 9 singers and ten tracks.
In October 2004, 4 UK Garage tracks featuring Lady Reality, Lokey Suspect, CF11, Havoc and XP were submitted to BBC Radio 1Xtra's 'Homegrown Live' call for demos. On November 4th they performed for Radio 1Xtra and the show was broadcast on Saturday November 12th. The track 'Dark Mechanics', ft: Lady Reality and Havoc, was selected by the 1xtra crew as the best track from all the Homegrown Live events.
The group has also began making their own budget music videos, and have to date produced videos for Khalsa Guroove (aka Juggy Singh), Bazza B and Mark Heenan - with several more on the way. The videos will feature as enhancements on a series of 4-track demos produced for individual members under their own name in the next 6 months.
The group continue to search for new talent and are very willing to hear from individuals with a passion for music and something to say.
